Shifa Clinic Commitment to Refugee Health

Improving the quality of care by sharing knowledge and teaching cultural humility.

 

  • Shifa Community Clinic is educating our local Sacramento physician on how to provide quality care for refugees, specifically women.
  • Shifa’s reach has expanded in the Sacramento region and providers are coming to us as experts in health care for these community
  • We conducted a focus group and survey to ask open-ended questions to two refugee groups, Afghan and Syrian refugees, about their experiences with Obstetric and Gynecological Care for Muslim Women.
